PROFIBUS is an independent and open fieldbus standard for a wide range of applications in the fields of manufacturing, processing and building automation.
The protocol, which is standardized according to EN 50170, is particularly suitable for fast and complex communication. By means of application-specific profiles, PROFIBUS can be used for virtually all tasks and therefore offers a high degree of availability and investment protection.
